Meet The Team

Colleen Erdman

My love for fishing began at a young age casting lines with my family in the lakes of Iowa (where I grew up) and Northern Minnesota, to deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, and while guiding children in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. However, it wasn’t until I moved to Colorado in 2014 that my love for fly fishing began. Since then fly fishing has taken me on some beautiful adventures with some wonderful people. I love exploring new water in Colorado and the western states. I prefer to fish the rivers, but in the summer I love to escape the heat and hike up to high alpine lakes to fish for brookies and cutthroat while soaking in the gorgeous mountain scenery.

Guiding combines two of my passions, fishing and teaching. Since 2013 I have worked as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher dedicated to education while fostering confidence and independence in my students. That same passion extends to the outdoors where I strive to teach and inspire others—especially the younger generation—to embrace the wilderness, develop outdoor skills and build confidence through fly fishing. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a client’s face light up after landing a great catch and celebrating with a hoot n’ holler and a high five!
