About Rob Mahoney

I grew up fishing for mostly warm water species in farm ponds across Indiana. I picked up my first fly rod when I moved to Wyoming well over a decade ago and the rest (as they say) is history. After a few years of cutting my teeth on the local waters throughout Wyoming and Colorado, I eventually attended guide school in Montana to learn more about the industry. I've also spent time in Alaska guiding and managing a fly shop at an Orvis endorsed lodge in Bristol Bay. I don’t have the words for some of the places fly fishing has taken me, and to me it is an incredible way to connect with nature. Whether it is throwing crab patterns at permit and bonefish in Ascension Bay or chasing picky tailwater trout in Colorado - I love fishing, teaching, and spending as much time on the water as I can. Cheers!
