About John Cook

​John is a Colorado native who grew up in Berthoud, Colorado and began fly fishing as soon as he could hold a rod. While he loves all fly fishing, throwing big streamers to aggressive fish is his favorite. Whether it's fishing from a flats boat, drift boat, or walk-wading, he is always ready to fish. John enjoys guiding and teaching new methods to fish; whether it's learning how to stealth cast from a casting deck or get the perfect drift, John is willing to take the time to develop the proper foundation to see more fish in the net, as well as make a memorable trip with lots of fun included. John’s favorite guiding is on the flats boat site-casting to large predators like Pike or Brown Trout.
